An Introduction:
I am Kiran Joshua Daniel (aka Babydan), a great fan of Daniel Radcliffe, the Harry Potter movie hero. And let me tell you why I am crazy about him.
I had the desire of learning the internet and becoming a professional in the internet field some way after i saw the movie "Harry Potter & the Sorcerer's Stone". Somehow the little boy in the movie captured my heart. his school uniform had a near resemblance to our uniform in St.Edmunds and his hairstyle resembled mine when I was in the first standard ! I had this burning desire to learn more about him, but I did'nt know his name! Someone suggested using the internet to find out more. I was shocked because I had never touched a computer before ! I was a professional photographer at that time. But this urge kept on haunting me night and day and finally I gave up my mind and went into an internet centre. I didnt have the heart to ask anyone to help me in case I might be a fool! I thought of studying some course but the fees were way to much to fit my budget! So spending an hour and paying 20 Rs. was far much better. Then I sat at the computer and nobody knew that I knew nothing !! I stared blankly at the windows screensaver on the monitor in front of me not knowing which button to press and what to do ! My snoopy eyes searched here and there and I managed to spot a little boy beside me tapping away like a professional. I was ashamed ! Here I sit like a stone tapping my foot and you little idiot show off !! ( Actually I had no passion for children then !) I asked him why he was tapping, he looked at me as if I had asked him something terrrible and said " I am not tapping, I am typing !" And he was merrily tapping (typing) away again!
But atleast I could get some idea of how to type. So I watched him silently and it was then I came to know that you had to type something in the address bar. So I typed Harry Potter ( I was searching all over the keyboard for the damn letters !) and ....Bingo !!! The default search engine MSN came up with so much information. I was too excited! After a lot of fumbling with the mouse and keys, I was almost shocked and surprised to see that .... We both shared the same name, nickname and date of birth ! That is DANIEL...BABYDAN.....23 JULY.. !
I couldnt believe my eyes , His name was Daniel Radcliffe and my name is Kiran joshua Daniel , but my Dad , Mom and everyone else called me Daniel. Sometimes I am also known as Daniel Christopher, all because of this habit of exploring new places, (even a new bathroom!) Yeah, my Mom called me this name all because of Christopher Columbus. Oh my God! The Harry Potter movie director was Chris Columbus ! My Dads choice was Kiran Joshua Daniel, and that too for a reason. Kiran means "Suns rays" in Sanskrit and Hindi. Joshua for the great warrior of the Old Testament (But don't be afraid , I am no warrior, just a barrier!) and Daniel for another brave man of the Old Testament who was famous for having been arrested and put in a lions den. The lions did'nt harm him because he was a man of God. But if I had been in his place, I would have pee'd in my pants ( or gown? Because there were no pants in those days) and fainted and the poor lions would have run away in fright wondering what happened to me! And that would have brought shame to all the Daniels of today!
During my school years my friends and even my parents called me Babydan which was also Daniel Radcliffe's nicky during his baby years! And most of all, Our birthdates matched too! We were both born on July 23 but in a different year.
My whole day passed most interestingly the very first day and I didnt even realize that time was passing away and I had forgotten to go to the shop in which worked! I had been at the net for 8 and a half hours !! And today I am at the net for more than 12 hours a day, designing sites and collecting information. Though I am not much obsessed by the Harry Potter books, I somehow like them all because of Daniel Radcliffe and though I havent seen him in real, he is the only cause for why I am now in the most wanted job that I had dreamt of. It was his thoughts that brought back my memories of my Beloved School. St Edmunds school in Shillong, which is also known as "The Scotland of Eastern India" I have Information for Shillong and Chennai (Madras) the two places I have loved and lived in. Hope I have not bored you with all the stuff above but you see, all children have a charming face (whether they are naughty or not) I am in a respected job all because of a little boy called Daniel Radcliffe and again, I learnt how to start it all on the computer because of another 12 year old boy (actually I don't know his name) at the internet centre. Ever since then, I love children and have a special respect for them. I don't have much friends of my age but I have a lot of child friends . All boys and girls in the age group of 8 to 15 ! (According to the year 2007).
